Mobile friendly and B2B: How companies react now

Until now, many B2B companies have been of the opinion that the "serious user" in their industry would be looking at the site on his or her desktop or laptop at the office. Optimizing the website for mobile users was therefore not relevant for them so far. This is now changing due to the Google rating, which is creating a certain amount of pressure.

Since April 21, 2015, Google has rated websites that are "mobile friendly" better than those that are designed for desktop users only. The websites optimized for mobile users are now placed higher in the search engine's ranking. Google therefore recommends switching to the latest version of a CMS and adapting the templates according to the principle of "responsive design". Even slim images and videos with short loading times are positively evaluated. B2B companies that take up the challenge and see it as an opportunity can gain an advantage over their competitors' "old school" websites. By switching to a content management system and an adaptable design, they get a more attractive website. Users benefit from shorter load times and a better overall user experience ... and at the same time, Google rolls out the red carpet for companies in terms of SEO performance.
